About Us

Heart Lake United Church is a diverse, inclusive community of Christian faith. Our congregation includes individuals of all ages, genders, races, and religious experiences. Everyone is important to Christ - so everyone is important to us. We all belong! Heart Lake United Church reaches out through welcoming worship, our food cupboard and our community garden. 


Our Mission

Our mission is to live an active faith connecting our community with God and with each other. We express our faith in Jesus Christ by embracing equality, inclusion, integrity, peace and by being relevant in our world. We value spiritual growth and strong Christian fellowship.  

On Sunday mornings we worship with inspiring singing led by our music team, sermons that make the Bible relevant to today, and through sincere prayer. We have a Sunday morning program for younger kids. Our Sunday morning worship is available on Facebook. 

Other opportunities to grow in and express our faith in Jesus include: community conversations, Men’s Breakfast, Community Food Cupboard, and our Minister’s Message in our Newsletter.

At HLUC you will find people with diverse backgrounds and experiences all coming together to share our faith and build a caring, inclusive community. At HLUC everyone belongs! 


We know that it is not always easy to live a life of faith in our world today so we gather on Sunday mornings to connect with God and to support each other. At other times we meet in small groups to learn, pray and socialize. As we share our ideas, our resources and our lives, we help each other to grow into the person we were created to be so that together we can build a strong community.
